Drop off your old medications with the Timmins police on Saturday. Their Prescription Drop-Off Day is running from 10 until 2 at police headquarters. They are looking to get unused drugs off the streets, so they don’t end up in the wrong hands. Last year, over 50 lbs of expired and unwanted medications were dropped off.

“This is an important event to raise awareness, as well as to move forward in dealing with the problems associated with prescription drug abuse in Timmins and across the province and country,” explained TPS Inspector Richard Blanchette.

Old medications can also be dropped off at local pharmacies, anytime
