There’s no denying that the season of gathering food and toys is in full swing.

This Saturday, the Timmins Police Service has its annual toy drive.

Const. Caroline Rouillard says as in past years, it’s in the parking lot at the Bargain Shop on Algonquin…“…and starts at ten o’clock and will end approximately at 3:00pm, when we will bring the gifts back to the Timmins Police station and then from there we can distribute them to needy families.”

Rouillard says aside from collecting toys, the event will help you get into the Christmas spirit.

“We will be supplying some music on behalf of the Timmins Police Service, just to join in on the celebration and get ready for Christmastime.  So we’re also excited for that.”

Const. Rouillard will herself be performing.  She refuses to give us a sample, saying she’ll be singing for toy donations.
