The province is putting up more money to help Northern businesses adapt to pandemic safety precautions.

Administered by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund, applications open Thursday and run until the end of the year.  The so-called Northern Ontario Recovery Program will help pay for things like new buildings and renovations to new ones; safety installations and personal protective equipment; restructuring a business and marketing new initiatives.

It will cover expenses retroactive to March 17th – the day the pandemic emergency was declared.
