Two foodbanks in our community are receiving some help from a local mining company. Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver is giving the Timmins and Porcupine Foodbanks 10 thousand dollars each. Lake Shore Gold spokesman Marcel Cardinal says this plan came from their employees who wanted to do something for their community during these difficult times. The cheques will be given to the foodbanks in a special presentation tomorrow at 2 pm.
