An Ottawa teen with a Timmins connection has died after multiple stab wounds to the stomach and chest.
18 year old Connor Stevenson died on Wednesday evening at the hospital. His mother, Laurie Beaudoin, grew up in Timmins, attending Timmins High and Vocational School, and now lives in Ottawa.
A man at the scene tried in vain to resuscitate the former Gloucester High School student. He was then taken to hospital in critical condition, and succumbed to his injuries.
The teen had a passion for sports; playing both rugby and football.
Police say this is Ottawa’s second homicide of year, and are still investigating. They say the apartment building where he was stabbed is known for its violence.
No suspects are in custody yet.
