July 9th 2020 Road Report

Heat Warning in effect for Timmins, Cochrane, and Iroquois Falls. As reported by Environment and Climate Change Canada:

“Daytime high temperatures in the low thirties will continue today and will continue through the end of the week. Overnight low temperatures in the upper teens are also expected during this period. Hot and humid air can also bring deteriorating air quality and can result in the Air Quality Health Index approaching the high risk category. The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors. Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle. Watch for the symptoms of heat illness: dizziness/fainting; nausea/vomiting; rapid breathing and heartbeat; extreme thirst; decreased urination with unusually dark urine.” For more details, click on the link here.

No collisions to report, however:
