Urban Farmers Market returns to Downtown Timmins

Urban Farmers Market – COVID-19 Pandemic Edition – opens Thursday at 11:00am, on Third Avenue.

Downtown Timmins BIA executive director Noella Rinaldo says ten vendors will be set up between Spruce and Cedar Streets.

“It’s strawberry season,” she notes, “so we have two vendors bringing some fresh strawberries and of course our meat producers and we have some fresh produce that is ready.”

The market runs every Thursday until October, from 11:00am until 3:00pm. Hand sanitizer will be readily available.

“The nice thing is it’s outside so it does make things a lot easier for people,” Rinaldo mentions, referring to physical distancing, “and I think for some people that are a bit nervous, it’s a way of kind of introducing them into some smaller venues of being around people.”

In the weeks to come there will be more vendors, so the market will extend to Balsam Street.
