Summer in Timmins without Beauce Carnaval seems almost inconceivable. It’s the latest victim of COVID-19 restrictions.
The Québec-based travelling midway has told its local sponsor – the Kiwanis Club – that it’s keeping its 51 rides at its home base this year.
This would have been the 50th consecutive time that the midway commonly called simply “the Beauce” has been in Timmins.
Three generations of the Vallée family have brought their rides to Timmins over that half century.
It’s planning to hit the road again in 2021.
