Snow Removal Schedule – March 2nd to March 6th 2020

Daytime and night-time snow removal by the city teams will be taking place this week, from March 2nd, 2020 to March 6th, 2020. Streets could be closed, lanes could be reduced. The best option is to find an alternate route to your destination. However, here are the roads that will be effected, and when city snow removal teams plan to clear them.

Daytime Snow Removal 7:30 Am to 4:00 PM

From March 2nd, 2020 to March 6th, 2020, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that:

Monday, March 2nd, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins South: Dale (Mountjoy to Railway), Ogden (Birch to Pine), Moneta (Mountjoy to Railway), Lee (Mountjoy to Spruce)
  • Schumacher: Dwyer, Fourth, Hollinger, Les Hall, Ponderosa

Tuesday, March 3rd, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins North: Cherry, Burke, Harmony, Howard, Hart (Ross to Howard), Patricia (Ross to Toke), Leone
  • South Porcupine: William, Cecil

Wednesday, March 4th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins North: Murdock, Empire, Rochester, John, Lakeshore
  • South Porcupine: Moore (Harold to Quebec), Powell

Thursday, March 5th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Timmins North: Birch (Fifth to Dead End), Seventh, Ninth
  • Schumacher: Grant, Battochio, Aura Lake, Lions Crest

Friday, March 6th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • South Porcupine: Powell (Moore to Main), Broadway, Crawford (Harold to Golden)

Night Time Snow Removal 9:30 PM to 7:30 AM

From March 2nd, 2020 to March 6th, 2020, the Public Works Department wishes to inform the public that crews will be doing night time snow removal.

Monday, March 2nd, starting at 9:30 PM:

  • Timmins South: Third, Second, Balsam (Sixth to Second)

Tuesday, March 3rd, starting at 9:30 PM:

  • Timmins South: Birch (Second to Sixth), Maple (Second to Sixth), Elm (Second to Sixth)

Wednesday, March 4th, starting at 9:30 PM:

  • Timmins South: Algonquin (Brunette to Mountjoy)

The above plan or parts of the plan may also be changed at any time and/or delayed if a winter storm is in effect, or if there is a mechanical issue. The snow removal crew will change to a snow plowing operation. Those streets that may not be done will be done on the next available snow removal shift.
