February 18th 2020 Road Report

No collisions or road closures to report, however:

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Timmins – Cochrane – Iroquois Falls
    Significant snowfall on the way today.

Snow over the Chapleau area will continue to spread eastward towards the Quebec border early this morning. The snow will become heavy at times today. Total snowfall amounts in the 10 to 15 cm range will be possible by the time the snow moves out of the area this evening. More information can be found here.

Snow Removal Schedule for Tuesday, February 18th, 2020:

Tuesday, February 18th, starting at 7:30 AM:

  • Mountjoy: Bonaventure, Majestic, Diamond, Pleasant, Castlewood
  • Mountjoy: Vanier, Center, Lynwood, Woodland, Champlain

Tuesday, February 18th, starting at 9:30 PM:

  • Timmins North: Lafleur Bridge, Norman, JV Bonhomme

The City of Timmins Winter Parking By-Law is now in effect. From November 1st, 2019 to April 30th, 2020, vehicles may not park on the streets overnight, from 11:30pm to 7:30am. Cars can park overnight in areas with signage that reads “Parking Permitted Unless Otherwise Posted”. Towing will occur anytime an illegally parked vehicle interferes with winter operations, like snow plowing. More details about the Winter Parking By-Law can be found here.
