A quiet Saturday night in a Schumacher neighbourhood was spiced up by a police operation.
Timmins Police says officers tried to stop a pick-up truck that was being driven erratically shortly after two o’clock Sunday morning. The driver took off after hitting a cruiser, and holed up inside a vacant apartment on Dwyer Avenue.
Police contained the scene while waiting for a warrant to get into the apartment. Once inside, they hauled out the 29-year-old hiding suspect and arrested him on eleven charges.
