Timmins is taking part in this weekend’s World Water Day.

Over 100 grassroot organizations are launching rain barrel sales to raise funds for local projects.

Rain barrels provide a free source of water ideal for gardens, lawns, and trees, as it is fluoride and chlorine free. They can also reduce flooding, and can be a source of water for emergency situations.

The Kinsmen Club of Timmins is helping out with the project.
