Your kids get a mid-week holiday tomorrow (Wed., Jan. 15), if their schools are run by the English public or French Catholic boards.

A high school teachers strike – the latest in a series of rotating work withdrawals – is hitting schools between Hearst and Temagami.

It also affects elementary schools, because many workers in those schools belong to the high school union… so the boards are closing them amid safety concerns.

Next Tuesday is English Catholic students’ turn for a day off.  It’s part of a province-wide one-day strike.
