The Head Coach of the Timmins Rock has received a prestigious honour. Corey Beer has been chosen to coach Team East at the Canadian Junior Hockey League Prospects Game in Hamilton on January 14. Beer has guided the Rock to a second place record of 26-5-1-1 in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League standings. The CJHL Prospects game provides exposure for junior A players in front of scouts from the NHL, CHL NCAA and U Sports. The Oshawa, Ontario native recently returned from Dawson Creek, BC where he picked up a silver medal as a member of Team Canada East Coaching Staff at the World Junior A Challenge.
