Local authors showcased at public library

Six local authors will be in the spotlight at the Timmins Public Library this Saturda, during its second annual local author showcase.

Reference librarian Karina Douglas-Takayesu says it runs from 10:30am until 3:00pm, three of the authors participating in a panel discussion from 1:00pm to 2:30pm.

They’ll talk about the creative process in their different genres.  One of them is Davis Dewsbury.

“He does the Auric comic books, so of course he’d be collaborating with illustrators and people colouring the books,” Takayesu outlines.  “Susan Reimer is one that’s sort of publishing what we call the traditional method and her book will be actually coming out in early 2020.  And Francine Parisi is somebody that has self-published.”
