Chamber members urged to respond to survey by provincial body

The deadline has been extended to next Friday, November 8^th, for Timmins Chamber of Commerce members to reply to an Ontario Chamber economic survey.

Timmins president Val Venneri is hoping for a good response rate.

“We want to see how confident local businesses are in Ontario’s economy, what their outlook is for 2020 and how happy they are with the services offered by the current government,” he explains.

He adds that responses also give his board direction on the business issues it should be addressing.

“Absolutely.  The direction that businesses put upon us.  If they want us to go a certain way, then we will fight their case for them.”

Venneri says responding to the survey also ensures that specific northern issues get the attention they deserve.
