Sip, paint and help the Timmins Family Counselling Centre

You can get in on the sip-and-paint trend, while also helping fund the services of the Timmins Family Counselling Centre.

Registered psychotherapist Christine Contant says it’s set for the evening of November 8th at the South Porcupine Legion.  The $45.00 fee covers all the supplies, but not the sipping.  The bar will be open, however, and you can buy drinks.

Contant says proceeds will go towards low-cost or no-cost counselling for clients who can’t afford it.

“We do have government funding for some programming,” she explains, “but for a lot of the couples and families that do access services, they often do fall under a fee for service.”

Contant points out that the Timmins Family Counselling Centre is non-profit’ family service agency.

“We’re one of the only ones in this region right now that offer individual, couples and family counselling.”
