The Handy Transit bus service is set to stay the same in Timmins. Council had been discussing extending the route to all of the outlying areas of the city like Kamiskotia and Connaught. A budget meeting had council vote against putting the proposal in this year’s budget. The main reasoning is cost. Timmins Transit pays for the service, but an extended route would fall on council to find the funding. A tie breaker vote was broken by the Mayor.
