News A chance to prove your Timmins trivia prowess SHARE ON: Bob McIntyre, staff Monday, Oct. 7th, 2019 (flickr.com) So you think you know a lot about Timmins history. Here’s a chance to prove it. On Monday, October 21st at 6:00pm, the main branch of the Timmins Public Library is holding a Timmins trivia night, hosted by Tom Schenck of Moose Mornings with Tom. Reference librarian Karina Douglas-Takayesu says all the questions are based on queries that she’s dealt with in her ten years in that job. “There’s going to be a lot of ‘did you know?’ fun facts and other interesting bits,” she explains. “Pretty well everything that’s in these questions, the answers could be found in sources from the library as well.” Contact the library to enter as an individual or team. (Bob McIntyre, MyTimminsNow.com staff) “We also encourage people to come out in the audience because you’re going to find out many interesting things,” Takayesu adds. “We have done some Facebook sharing and actually a few of the things may possibly be questions that are on the trivia match as well.” It’s that’s on election night, but Takayesu promises everything will wrap up by 7:30pm.
