School’s open as CUPE strikes deal with Ontario government

It’s business as usual at Ontario schools on Monday morning.

CUPE, the union representing 55,000 educational workers has struck a deal with the province.  The union had been in a legal strike position for midnight Sunday night but weekend long negotiations have been successful meaning schools are open Monday morning as usual.

Kids will be in school Monday morning.

The details of the deal will not be public until union members vote on the agreement.
