WEDNESDAY MORNING UPDATE: Police still investigating. School bus was fully loaded; driver and passengers were kept onboard until another bus came to pick them up.
A school bus has been involved in a late afternoon crash in South Porcupine, shortly after 4:00pm on Highway 101, just west of the lights at Main Street.. Timmins Police communications coordinator Marc Depatie tells My Timmins Now Dot Com from the scene that none of the kids on the bus were hurt.
Following protocol, they’re being held on the bus with the driver.
The road is closed, Depatie is recommending the Bruce Y exit if you’re headed east. We might also suggest the Back Road if you’re still in Timmins.
