Disappointment greeted drivers Monday morning, when they discovered that construction on Riverside Drive did not wrap up on Friday as expected.
The city’s director of public works and engineering, Pat Seguin, says the contractor has been delayed in being able to pave the road.
“Weather permitting, the contractor’s got Timmins slated for July 25th for paving,” he tells My Timmins Now Dot Com. “The underground work is complete. Now it’s a matter of restoration, so paving and such.”
Once paving is done late next week, all four lanes will be back in service between Shirley Street and Government Road.
