They're raising money for the Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation, the aim of which is to build a monument in Ottawa to paramedics who died in the line of duty. Left to right are Stacy Lacelle, Jenny Papineau, Commander Dan Contant, , Carrie Byrnes and Deputy Chief Marc Renaud. Helping draw attention to the event with a sign is Alex Papineau. Four of these medics will ride from Toronto to Ottawa in September, along with medics from across Ontario. Today's stationary ride lasts until 5:00pm. They're accepting donations, and selling swag. The proceeds of food sales onsite will also go to the foundation.
