School tax rates have finally been set by the provincial government, so how much more you’ll pay in municipal taxes on your Timmins home than you did last year has been calculated.
Director of finance Natalie Moore delivered the news to city council last night.
“Well, there’s 3,275 properties decreasing,” she reported, “and the ones that are increasing, the majority are increasing by 49 dollars.”
The ones that are decreasing are due to re-assessment putting a lower value on their properties.
