Alzheimer’s Walk tops last year’s total by $1,300

Officials at the Timmins regional office of the Alzheimer Society are quite pleased with the results of Saturday’s Walk for Alzheimer’s at Gillies Lake.

“It went amazing,” is the assessment of acting executive director Jennifer Cornell.  “We had approximately 50 participants and we raised $1,300 more than last year, so we raised $4,300.

“This stays local and it supports the program and services that we offer throughout our catchment area, which is from Hearst to New Liskeard.”
