Déjà vu in a dark downtown Timmins for much of the morning.
Electricity went out shortly after nine o’clock, in a situation almost identical to one in the same area just over a month ago.
Water – this time from rain and overwhelmed storm sewers – flooded an underground transformer vault on Cedar Street South, between Algonquin Boulevard and Third Avenue.

That’s pretty much the same thing that happened a block south, between Second and Third, last month.
Once the water was pumped out and steps taken to try to avoid repeat flooding, the Hydro One crew had power restored by about 11:15.
Thirty-two customers were affected, mostly businesses.
