DSSAB looking for childcare input

The Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board is drawing up a five-year childcare plan, and wants input from consumers: the parents.

Shannon Costello is DSSAB’s program manager for children’s services quality assurance.

“We’re looking to gather some data about affordability, and how easy was it to get child care, are you looking for child care, those sort of things,” she says.

You can participate by completing a survey on the children’s services Facebook page or in person at a focus group later this month.

“We are looking for opinions of parents that even attend our EarlyOn centres as well,” Costello notes. “ Anyone who has a child from zero to 12 should really take a few minutes to give us some of their feedback on how child care and early years services have been in our district.”

Costello says expectant parents are also asked to participate.
