Lynx have been known to come to residential areas this time of year. The MNR and the Timmins Police have sent out a warning, saying to avoid all contact with the kids.
They are shy, and not known to be overly aggressive, however they are still dangerous. Keep your pets safe, as they can be a potential meal, and keep garbage locked up.
If you see a lynx, and think public safety is an issue, call 911. If you just see a lynx and there is no danger, there is no need to report it.
