City Hall has confirmed that Timmins Fire Chief Norm Beauchamp has quit his job.
Director of corporate services Rock Foy confirms the resignation, effective last Wednesday, March 13th.
Beauchamp had been on personal leave for the previous four months. Foy says no reason for the resignation was given.
There have been no discussions yet among administrators on how to fill the vacant fire chief position, either through recruitment or internal promotion.
Beauchamp had been in the job since fall of 2017.
