A Timmins man has been fined after illegally removing cedar logs. He was transporting 75 white cedar logs along Highway 101 near Foleyet, when he was stopped by an officer. He told the officer the wood had been scaled and paid for, which a later investigation found to be a lie. He pled guilty to unlawfully removing logs, and making false statements.
