School buses for all four school districts in Timmins have been CANCELLED for today, Wednesday, February 13th. Schools will remain OPEN.
The cancellations affect all four of Timmins’ school boards:
- Conseil Scolaire Public du Nord-Est de L’Ontario
- District School Board Ontario North East
- Northeastern Catholic District School Board
- Conseil Scolaire Catholique de District des Grandes Rivieres
This also includes school bus routes for Timmins, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, and Matheson, as well as Kirkland Lake to Temagami.
With the 10cm of snow that came down overnight, the overnight road crews worked hard to clear the streets, but Mother Nature had different plans. Many side roads are still completely covered in a fresh blanket of snow. This is the 8th time that the school buses have been cancelled for the 2018-2019 school year.
