School buses for all four school districts in Timmins have been CANCELLED for today. Schools will remain OPEN. This also includes school bus routes in Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Hearst, and surrounding areas.
The cancellations affect all four of Timmins’ school boards:
- Conseil Scolaire Catholique de District des Grandes Rivieres
- Conseil Scolaire Public du Nord-Est de L’Ontario
- District School Board Ontario North East
- Northeastern Catholic District School Board
With periods of heavy snow overnight, and fluctuating temperatures, the downtown roads may be okay, but the rural bus routes are heavily effected.
