Police in Timmins have charged a local woman with pretending to practice witchcraft… something that is contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The allegation is that the 33-year-old tried to get another woman to pay her money… in exchange for protecting her family from potential injury.
Timmins Police Service investigators say the accused represents herself as a spiritualist, medium and clairvoyant.
She has a court appearance coming up on January 22nd.
