Almost as historical as what went on last Tuesday night at Timmins City Hall… a meeting tonight is significant.
It’s the first regular meeting of the newly elected council under new mayor George Pirie. They were sworn in to office a week ago.
On the agenda is a lot of routine business, but also potential good news for gymnasts in the city.
Council is expected to pass a bylaw approving a new lease for the shuttered Stella Nova Gymnastics Centre, in the former Confederation Arena.
The meeting starts at 6:00pm in the council chamber.
