HUMANITARIANS SERVE XMAS DINNER TO NEEDY

Members of the humanitarian group at the Timmins campus of Collège Boréal warmed the bellies and the hearts of about 200 people Friday night.

As the local component of their 2019 project, the 12 members served turkey dinner to clients of the Yo! Mobile and other people in need, with the help of about 20 other volunteers.

Kids who came out each went home with a Christmas stocking.

The local group will join a contingent from the Boréal campuses in Kapuskasing and Sudbury in the spring, on a mission to Guatemala.  They will build three cinder block houses, and do volunteer work aimed at mothers and kids.
