Full press release from the Timmins Police, including which areas to look out for:

The Timmins Police Service has scaled back the ground search for missing person Jacques Beausiegle, 60, of Timmins. Police, along with members of Timmins Porcupine Search and Rescue, and the Timmins Fire Department have searched the area where Beausiegle was last seen (Kellyann & Lonergan area), with negative results. The investigation into his disappearance, however, continues by members of the TPS’ Criminal Investigations Section.

Beausiegle was reported missing on December 23, 2014. He was last seen the evening of December 22, 2014 in the area of Kellyann Drive in Timmins. He is described as being 5’5, approximately 140 lbs, with brown eyes, and long, brownish-grey hair. He has a slender build and wears glasses.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a lightweight, tan-coloured jacket, a winter toque with a polar bear emblem on the front, and blue mittens.

Police are concerned for Beausiegle’s safety as he is underdressed for the weather. He may be confused and disoriented, as he tends to get lost easily. He takes several medications, but does not have his medication with him.

It is important to note that Beausiegle is known to travel down Airport Road to Jubilee Ave and South on Pine St. to visit a friend. The Timmins Police Service is asking residents on those streets to keep an eye out for any sign of Beausiegle. The Timmins Police Service is also asking residents in the area surrounding Lonergan Blvd and Kellyann Dr to check their properties for any sign of Beausiegle.

Snowmobilers traveling on trails in the Melrose area are being asked to keep an eye out for anything that may appear suspicious.

Anyone having any information on the whereabouts of Jacques Beausiegle is asked to contact the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201.
