Thursday’s Moose FM Feeding Families Radiothon for the Stan Fowler Santa Claus Fund gets the full support of city councillor Rock Whissell.
He says it’s important to help young, needy families at Christmas.
“Without having someone to help them,” he says, “to make sure they succeed and they continue, is I think something very important that Timmins has always done.”
Moose FM and the Schumacher Lions Club will be broadcasting live, accepting your pledges by phone and in person at the Timmins Square food court between 9:00am and 9:00pm
The goal is to better last year’s $52,000, which fed 375 families.
“City with a heart of gold for sure,” Whissell comments. “ So it’s really important that we support and we continue to help those families in need.”
