Water prices are set to be increased by $30. City council voted last night to stay the course, and not hike up the tax to a potential $200. Mayor Black voted against the rise. He says he would rather support a higher increase which would be cheaper in the long run, with more funds saved for future projects. Among the projects discussed is upgrading infrastructure, water and sewage.
Council was split, with four voting against the increase and five voting yes.
The new prices are set to take over in 2015.
