Haunted House Gives Back

You can help the community by going trick-or-treating this year.

Gaetan and Suzanne Bellemare set up a haunted house at their home that attracts hundreds of people every year, but this year they want to also help the community. Gaeten says this year they will be collecting donations for the Timmins Food Bank and Yo Mobile. “A lot of people have been talking to us about it and with the fire and all that and the cold coming up, we thought it would be a good idea.”

He says at the entrance to the haunted house, they will be collecting canned goods for the food bank, winter clothing and money for the Yo Mobile. “For [the] Yo Mobile, they’re asking for cup of soups, drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, clothes and money.”

Gaetan says last year he had 963 people through the house, but this year they are hoping for over 1,000. He adds that this year’s theme is “haunted castle”, so there will be things like queen’s and dragons. The couple says they have been working on the idea since last Halloween.

You can check out the haunted castle at 387 Diane Crescent.
