The Ministry of Natural Resources says most deer hunters are obeying the laws. The MNR did an enforcement blitz in the Northeast last month. Officers were making sure hunting regulations and safety rules were being followed. More than 830 hunters were checked, and 53 charges were laid. Among the charges was not unloading a gun at night, shooting from a roadway, and careless hunting.
