Winter Driving Tips

Now that snow is starting to stick to the ground, police sending out a few winter driving reminders.

The Timmins Police Service says roads are now slick so you need to slow down and keep lots of space between you and other drivers. Police say you also need to make sure all your windows are clear of snow and ice, including all the side windows. TPS says another way to do this is to heat up your car before driving because it will help keep your windows from fogging up.

Officers say you also need to clear any snow off the top of your vehicle do it doesn’t blow onto other cars while driving. Police say it’s also a good time to start putting on snow tires to get ahead of the snow.

TPS says the goal is to get to your next destination safely and these tips will help get you there.
