Charges laid after TPS Officer was dragged by a snowmobile

A 22 year old Timmins man is facing several charges after a Timmins Police Officer was dragged behind his snowmobile. On Saturday afternoon, Police stopped the sled because it was being driven on the road. As officers were talking to the driver, he tried to take off, and the officer’s jacket got caught on the sled. Other officers had to help stop the snowmobile, and the driver was arrested. Among the charges are assault with a weapon, and dangerous driving causing harm. The officer had minor injuries.
