It’s going to be a little bit longer before the detours to and from the airport are removed.
The City of Timmins says construction on the Kraft Creek Bridge is being extended once again. The city is replacing and updating the ageing bridge, closing down the road from Lafleur Drive to Laforest Road.
The $3.8-million project started in June and was scheduled to wrap up on September 2nd. Crews say some weather dependent tasks have been pushed back because of the recent rainfall to October 1st.
Requests to City Hall for a comment have not been returned. A press release states that the detours along Highway 655 and MacLean Drive will stay in place until the project is complete. The city says it will let you know if construction finished before the new finalization date.
