Remediation Work to be Discussed at Council

Upcoming work at Hollinger Park will be discussed at council tomorrow night.

City staff is bringing a few tender results and admin reports to the meeting for approval. Staff says some of these reports include plans for the splash pad and electrical upgrades. The slash pad work will include improving the drainage system, improve surface areas, as well as remove the sand and brick to make it compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

A presentation will also be made by a city resident on the trees in the park and some remediation work concerns. This presentation includes concerns on the number of trees going into the park, what kind of trees will be planted this fall and if keeping all the original trees in the park will change the site plans.

Council will review the reports starting at 6:00pm tomorrow.
