The C.M. Shields Branch of the Timmins Public Library is set to get a bit of a facelift.
Officials say the library in South Porcupine will be closed from September 10th to September 17th so that new carpet can be installed.
During the closure, carpeting will be removed and replaced with bookshelves needing to be moved and a large portion of the book collection placed in an outdoor container while the new tiled carpet is installed.
The library is encouraging users to borrow additional items leading up to the closure and they say overdue fines will not accumulate during the closure.
The library will reopen on September 18th at noon.
