This year’s Great Canadian Kayak Challenge has inspired a little girl to pursue a career.
7-year-old Lydia Restoule and her dad were helping drive the media on a boat so they could take pictures of the kayakers. Lydia says she pulled out her Ipad and started taking pictures too. She says she was inspired by the other photographers and she loved it. “I like taking pictures of the races and like the canoes doing races, lots of races.”
Lydia says taking pictures of the races was more fun than just the ones she sometimes takes of her bunny rabbit at home. She says she takes pictures of her when she hops around, “and when she stands up when you say pretty bunny.” She says nature is where she likes to focus her talents.
Lydia says she hopes to get a camera of her own so she can go to school for photography.
