Sudbury nurse getting international attention

A tobacco specialist at the Health Sciences North hospital in Sudbury is being recognized for her work by a major American organization. Global Bridges is honouring Sudbury registered nurse Claire Gignac. Gignac helps people manage their tobacco addiction or cut it out entirely and she appreciates the international attention.

This fall and winter Gignac is holding a series of workshops across Ontario on how expectant and new mothers can quit smoking.

Gignac explains why the smoking cessation program at the hospital is important.

The international health care alliance is honouring Gignac’s work in its U-S publication.
