Since the local fire ban has been lifted, the Cochrane Summerfest fireworks are back on the schedule. The organizing committee posted on social media that the Saturday night firework show will start at 11:00pm after the music performances end.

There are some changes to this weekend’s Cochrane Summerfest celebrations.
The organizing committee posted on social media that the annual firework celebration normally held on Saturday night will be cancelled this year. The committee says because of how dry it is and the ongoing fire ban in the region, it’s safer to not set off the fireworks this year.

The Summerfest committee says it will hold a community fireworks night in the near future.
