Nickel Belt MP Claude Gravelle is now in Italy along with several other MP’s for a series of wreath-laying ceremonies. The Canadian politicians are commemorating the 70th anniversary of Canada’s part in the Italian campaign during World War Two. More than 24-hundred Canadian soldiers are buried at several cemetery sites and Gravelle expects each event to be very moving.

Gravelle is the only MP from Northern Ontario in Italy, and he says quite a few wreath-laying ceremonies are planned.
