The license bureau in Schumacher is closing.
The Timmins Chamber of Commerce says it will be closing the Service Ontario branch in its building by the end of August. Chamber President Jamie Clarke says the board decided to close the over 50-year-old branch because of operation costs increasing and less demand with online services now in affect.
Clarke says this closure will affect some jobs.
Clarke says at this time those employees will not be moved to another location. The chamber is working with the Ministry to minimize the impact on the public. After August 30th, everyone will have to go the 101 Mall’s Service Ontario bureau.
